Dirk Hülstrunk (nar. 1964 ve Frankfurtu/M.) je básník a performer pohybující se v oblasti fónické poezie na rozhraní jazyka, zvuku a performance. Charakteristickým znakem jeho tvorby je rytmický, minimalistický styl, k jeho inspiracím se řadí Kurt Schwitters, Gertrude Steinová, konkrétní poezie či dada. Hülstrunk patří k průkopníkům slam poetry v Německu, od r. 1998 organizuje renomovaný poetry slam ve Frankfurtu. Často spolupracuje s dalšími umělci a hudebníky, v poslední době např. s osobnostmi jako jsou „Brandstifter“ (Mohuč), finský performer Juha Valkeapää (Helsinki) nebo audio umělkyně Gabi Schaffner (Berlín). Hülstrunk též působí jako docent na Vyšší odborné škole ve Frankfurtu.

Dirk Hülstrunk (born 1964 in Frankfurt/Main) is a spoken word poet, writer,
minimalist, creative writing teacher and curator of art/poetry events in Germany.
Influences range from Kurt Schwitters, Gertrude Stein, Concrete Poetry, Dada, Fluxus, Beatpoetry to Pop and modern electronic sound-poetry. He is also one of the pioneers of the Poetry Slam Movement in Germany, organizing the renowned Frankfurt Poetry Slam since 1998. He frequently collaborates with artists & musicians, recently e.g. with the German Fluxus artist “Brandstifter”(Mainz), performance artist Juha Valkeapää (Helsinki), audio artist Gabi Schaffner (Berlin). Hülstrunk is also active as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt.
